The Pros & Cons of Recovery exercise is a great exercise to work through for when you're beginning to recover from disordered eating and dieting.
This is an exercise I've adapted from my social work practice. It's based on the principals of Motivational Interviewing, which is a technique I use to use with people who wanted to make a massive change in their lives - whether it was fleeing domestic violence or recovering from drug addiction. For the purposes of this exercise, we'll be using the exercise to assess your readiness for recovery from a lifetime of dieting and/or disordered eating.
