Beyond The Bathroom Scale is a health and fitness platform for women aged 20-40, based in the UK & USA. We're busy women, who juggle careers and families with our workouts and healthy meals. Some of us are looking to completely turn our lifestyles around on a quest to improve their health, while others are looking to stay motivated, learn more about nutrition and exercise and improve their self-esteem.

What we all have in common is that we don't do diets, pills or fads!

We love: fitness trackers, smartphone apps, gym classes, online workouts, active wear and trainers and healthy snacks.

Just months after launching, the BTBS blog was shortlisted for ‘Best Lifestyle Blog’ in the prestigious, Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2012, in which 64,000 other blogs entered.

Since then, it’s grown from being a place for the editor, Karen, to share her weight loss journey, to a popular health and fitness blog with regular expert contributors (including a personal trainer, nutritionist and NHS weight loss surgeon), a community group, email list, online course platform, a smartphone app and two books. BTBS has since become a full time business for the Editor, Karen Oliver.
