Rather Lovely is a natural skincare and home fragrancing brand, headed by homeopath, Fiona Wray. The range is packed with natural, kind-to-skin ingredients and makes a lovely gift for anyone in need of a bit of pampering (that'll be me, then!).
The range features body lotions, hand creams, bath salts and soaps, as well as candles and diffusers. All available in a variety of scents, are rich in essential oils and free from artificial fragrances and harsh chemicals like the detergents found in store-bought soaps.
I've been testing out the citrus organic body lotion (£16) and floral organic soap (£12)...
The citrus organic body lotion has a gently refreshing zesty scent and is perfect for using after an early morning shower on a winter's day to wake you up and sooth skin that's dried out from the central heating. It's absorbed into the skin quickly and leaves it feel soft and smelling lovely for hours afterwards.
The floral scented organic soap is cold pressed, smells feminine and comes beautifully wrapped. It would make an ideal gift for Valentine's Day or perhaps Mother's Day next month (especially for new mums, for whom a 5 minute shower already feels like a spa day!). For the first few uses, the soap doesn't lather up in the shower like a store-bought soap, but two or three weeks on, this improves. It leaves my skin feeling far more moisturised that with store-bought soap, as my skin is prone to being dried out by detergents.
