New Covent Garden Soup Launches Skinny Range

Just in time for the winter season, New Covent Garden have bought out a whole new range of soups! Each soup in the Skinny range has less than 2% fat per carton and less than 150 calories per portion and best of  all, each soup contains two portions of your five a day, has the all-green traffic lights for nutrition and no contain no added sugar!

The skinny range has four flavours:

Souper (I see what they did there!) Green with Italian Basil Pesto is a delicious medley of peas, leeks, courgettes, spinach, broccoli and green beans, finished with a swirl of Italian Basil Pesto.  This satisfying soup is packed with flavour but all green on the traffic light system so a great choice for slimmers. Move over green juice recipes all over Pinterest, we're eating our greens for lunch!

A twist on the classic French peasant’s dish, the Tomato & Vegetables with Green Lentils soup features tomatoes, red peppers, courgettes and Laird lentils, seasoned with a selection of herbs to deliver a chunky fresh fusion of flavour.

Those with adventurous tastes should try the Quinoa & Turtle Bean with Chilli and Lime.  Inspired by Peruvian cooking, this lightly spiced soup is packed full of delicious goodness with quinoa and black turtle beans infused with oak smoked garlic, smoked sweet paprika, chipotle chilli and red peppers. Definitely one to warm you up on a chilly day.

Or, for something a little more fragrant, the Goan Spiced Chicken & Lentils comprises a delicious combination of chicken, lightly seasoned with authentic Goan spices, long grain rice and Laird lentils finished with a dash of lime and coriander - delicious!

These thick, creamy soups are ideal to cook up for a healthy lunch at work, or keep in a flask for a warming post-workout snack after your winter workout. The range will be hitting the shelves of your local supermarket in the near future and will be priced around £2 a carton.
